Hiroko Hara (Bush)

Hiroko’s translating and interpreting career started as a research intern at the Rand Corporation in Santa Monica, California, and later as the editorial assistant at Fortune magazine’s Tokyo editorial bureau.

After extensive on-the-job experience, her formal training as a conference interpreter was completed at the Simul Academy in Japan. She continues to work with major corporations, law firms, interpreting agencies in the US and in Japan, as well as on behalf of the U.S. State Department.  Since 1998, Hiroko has been based in St. Louis, Missouri, where her husband works as a  Professor of English at the Saint Louis University.
